Australian Fly Fishing Outfitters are now offering Cuba as one of their international destinations.

After much research and speaking to overseas clients that fish with us it seems that Cuba offers some of the best shallow water flyfishing available in the Caribbean if not the world.

Cuba has the ability to offer the saltwater flyfisher opportunities at an inshore grand slam, Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon.

Offering several locations in Cuba with the one professional outfitter, I travelled there recently to ensure the experience was what you would expect from a first class team and I wasn’t disappointed.

The operation is as professional as you'll find anywhere in the world, just what you will come to expect from AFO destinations, we travel to these locations ourselves to be sure it’s up to a standard we can recommend.

Something different from many hard to get to places is the quality of the vessels, all the boats are Dolphin skiffs, USA built flats boats, ideal for the job at hand.

Senior members of the group have trained all the younger guides, they are all locals with intimate knowledge of the waterways, polite and skilled boat drivers.

Accommodation is varied from lodge based to mothership operations, the food is a local array of seafood and Cuban cuisine. The house staff are all great fun and speak good English.

To kick off our Cuban experience we are offering a brand new destination at a super discounted rate.

This new area offers Bonefish, Tarpon and Snook, it is exploratory area for the company, one that has had minimal fishing pressure.

The rate will be under $2000 US for 6 days, 7 nights.

At present this rate is for November, December and not likely to be repeated.

We also have two trips held in June 2009 aboard  two of the motherships, if you think this is some interest  contact us for all the information.

There are several destinations offered in Cuba and we have an endless amount of information regarding those. If you’d like to know more send me and email and I’ll put you in the picture.
