2012 is underway, the Hervey Bay season is in full swing, Tuna, Mackeral and Golden Trevally are the word on peoples lips.
I'm about to tow the Maverick down for another short season before the 1st of our remote reef atoll trips in the 2nd half of March.

We are planning another couple of those trips later in the year. There is a report on the area from October 2011.
Perhaps one of the last unfished flyfishing areas in Oz.

Hinchinbrook dates are filling fast, I have some good tides left early to mid June, August, Oct, Nov, Dec. The rest of the time Snelly has pretty good availability. All this won't last though!

On the boat scene, we are bringing in a couple of new boats in the 1st half of the year and expect a couple more. I got a shock when I found the price of similar boats to the Redfisher were approx $5-8000 more...Now is the time to buy with the dollar still strong!
