August picked up where late July started with strong cool south easterly winds, this put the fish down pretty good for a couple of weeks, you had to work harder than usual to get fish to bite.
The first weekend of the month was the GLoomis Hinchinbrook Fly Challenge a great tournament held out of Lucinda about 20 teams entered and fish in windy conditions, fishing was tough, Maurie Nadalin and I won the Champion team.

Weather has improved out of sight since then and fish are out to play, big GT's and huge Blue Salmon have been up on the flats, staying hooked to them is proving difficult though, plenty of shots at Permit, with lots of follows a few bites and one broken off on the 1st run.

Barramundi are back on the go as well, it's shaping up to be a great season over the next few months. Been very slack with the camera recently I'll get back onto some good shots for the next report.
