May at Hinchinbrook

As you'll notice looking back at 2011 May reports, there was a lot more sun... this year was the worst on record. Overcast and wind were the biggest issue, there was some rain but mostly during the evening.

Craig Daly books the same week every year, a fellow Scott Rod fan, we tested one of the new 8 foot S4S rods.
Jelly prawns just kept coming with the constant top up of fresh water, so the Barramundi were riding high making for some very cool sightfishing.

The sun did come out briefly, enough time for a couple of Permit and a couple more bites that didn't result in pictures!

Neil with a solid Hinchinbrook Permit
He backed it up with a Golden Trevally and we missed out on a slam the day we got the Golden we caught several Barramundi but missed a hookup on the Permit.

Not often we get ladies fishing with us, I was busy fishing another regular so Jon fished Cheryll for a couple of days first, tough conditions but we made those most of it. Good to see the ladies getting out there, Cheryll has fished quite a few locations around the world and off to Alaska next month, good luck Cheryll.

A sneak peak of an 18 Redfisher we are bringing in very shortly...
